Expectations of Parents

Parents play a vital role in the development of their sons or daughters and the success of Republic Soccer Club.

Therefore, we expect parents to do the following:

  • Be a positive role model through their own actions to make sure their child has the best experience possible.
  • Be a fan of the team, not just a fan of your son/daughter.
  • Show respect for the opposing players, coaches, and spectators.
  • Be respectful of all officials’ decisions.
  • Do not instruct their children before or after a game, because it may conflict with the coach’s plans and strategies.
  • Praise their son or daughter in their attempt to try to improve themselves.
  • Gain an understanding and appreciation for the rules of the contest.
  • Help their child learn that success is experienced in the development of their skills and that they can feel good about themselves, win or lose.
  • Address problems or concerns with coaches and in an appropriate manner, including proper time and place. If you need further assistant, please don’t hesitate to contact Joe Phiri (417.207.0892).
  • Do not engage in any behavior which would endanger the health, safety or well-being of any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.
  • Encourage your child to treat any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee with respect regardless of race, creed, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation or ability.
  • Do not encourage your child, or any other person, to initiate a fight or scuffle with any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.
  • Reinforce our NO profanity policy.
  • Respect the coaches and program directors decisions. Republic Soccer Club is always looking out for the best interest of the player.
